Fender announces new Shawbucker Strats at NAMM 2015

Fender has introduced new versions of the American Standard and American Deluxe Strat with a Tim Shaw designed humbucker in the bridge position. Pickup guru Shaw has created a brand new pickup with unrivaled tone and quality for the new models launched at NAMM 2015. Shaw’s expertise dates far back to his work with the first and biggest names in the history of humbucking pickup design, and the result of his efforts—the “Shawbucker” humbucking pickup—is an electrifying new landmark in Fender pickup design.

Fender Shawbucker Strat

Shaw’s handiwork makes the American Standard Stratocaster HSS Shawbucker a formidable new instrument for guitarists who want the ultimate in modern humbucking tone. Its forceful Shawbucker bridge pickup is complemented by N3 Noiseless single-coil neck and middle pickups for classically brilliant sparkle, and with all the other great American Deluxe Stratocaster HSS features players already love, it’s a truly phenomenal new Strat experience.

About MNJ

Marc Noel-Johnson has written 962 post in this blog.

MNJ has been writing articles, reviews and blogs for the DV online magazine for the last five years or so. Although he has been playing for longer than he cares to remember and is now officially an 'oldie', he is still mad for all things guitar related and when not busy in his studio he's learning new songs, practising bluegrass guitar, painting his house and taking his dogs out. If banished to a desert island and forced to take only one guitar he'd take a Les Paul. Actually, make that several Les Pauls, a Strat, a Tele, an ES-335, a vintage Martin and some boutique amps. Battery powered obviously.
