Gibson Memphis announces ES-339 Satin at NAMM 2015


Gibson has launched a new version of the popular ES-339 in a matte/ semi -gloss 30 sheen lacquer satin finish. This cut-down semi acoustic is for players who want the sound and playability of its larger ES-335 cousin but prefer a more compact body shape.  The ES-339 Satin offers all the regular features including a 3-ply maple/poplar/maple body with centre block, traditional ‘C’-shaped mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard with pearloid block inlays, mother-of-pearl Gibson logo and a Tone Pro AVR-2 bridge.

New features for 2015 include redesigned neck dimensions, Grover ‘Milk-bottle’ Rotomatic tuners,’ f-hole’ emblem engraved truss rod cover, bone nut, rolled neck binding, lower profile frets, Burstbucker 1 and 2 humbuckers, new capacitors and locking stop bar tailpiece. Available in Ebony and Cherry. Includes a hardshell case.
