Casio reveals the XW-DJ1 controller and XW-PD1 groovebox at NAMM 2015

Casio has revealed details of their new Trackformer range, in the shape of the XW-PD1 Groovebox and XW-DJ1 Controller in time for NAMM 2015.

Casio XW-DJ1 Trackformer DJ controller

The XWDJ-1 is clearly aimed at the portable DJ market, featuring a compact 7” platter, the XWDJ has been engineered to integrate with Algoriddim’s djay 2 app for all mobile devices. Features include cue points, effects, looping capabilities, tempo match and loads more so this really is quite an exciting little product. There also RCA outs for a PA/DJ mixer and the unit can be either USB or battery powered for truly portable usage.

The Trackformer XW-DJ1’s layout means that both right and left-handed DJ’s can easily access and utilise all of the available functions without prohibiting creative control. The XW-DJ1 comes complete with a stand and as well as using the accompanying djay app you can also pull up songs from your iTunes and Spotify libraries to then sync and mix with. Two FX controls and three cue-points for each track push for a wide range of mixing opportunities.

The chassis of the pad is the same as the XWDJ-1, however 16 velocity sensitive pads, four rotary knobs and 16 color coded sequencer pads surrounding the circular playing area replace the controls.
