rhythmvoxThe new AC1 RhythmVOX – expanding the limits of the miniature amp to include a rich array of rhythm patterns.

Vox continued a theme of portability, but with a slightly different tack, upon the announcement of their new AC1 RhythmVOX. Essentially, isn’t an incredibly small amplifier with 66 built-in rhythm patterns to jam along to, following a recent trend of all-in-one vamping products that the industry has taken to over the past couple of years.

Guitarists choose between clean and overdriven channels to play along with, apparently guaranteed to be high quality thanks to the amPlug circuitry lurking inside the tiny chassis, which plays out through two 3″ speakers. A headphone jack and built in E-string tuner means that other than your actual guitar, you won’t need much more to sit and jam wherever you are, and with six AA batteries providing as much as 26 hours of playing, you really can take a day to yourself and practice your chops!

The rhythm and extended song patterns are split into genres, ranging from 8- and 16-beat and blues to funk, reggae and more math-rocky complex patterns, and all of the different patterns have been recorded at a high quality for that ‘real drum’ sound.

The RhythmVOX looks fantastic, so stay tuned for more!

About Rob Sandall

Rob Sandall has written 502 post in this blog.

Having spent his life changing strings in guitar shops, writing and editing news and reviews of the latest music gear and gigging in admittedly-short-lived bands, Rob's particular passions lie with all things six-string and the bodger's world of home production. While he is perhaps not hugely rock and roll, his efforts as a biographer of those who are allow him to at least live a little vicariously through them, which is almost as good. Feel free to drop him a line for help, advice, or just to chat, but be warned: he does go on a bit.
