Ableton & Novation Workshops – Live Beats with Thavius Beck

livebeats_ableton-novationHere at DV Towers, we love workshops, seminars and masterclasses and today it’s time to shout about another product guru sharing his wisdom and experience with us all. Ableton and Novation have again teamed up to bring us the Live Beats event with electronic recording artist and Ableton/Novation evangelist, Thavius Beck. A certified Ableton Live trainer, Thavius is also a music producer and sometime MC too. His training sessions have been enjoyed by numerous Ableton heads wishing to up their game with the fabulous version 8 software, alongside the integration of Novation hardware, the Launchpad of course being the primary focus, which further adds to the Beck learning curve.

The upcoming session lands at Digital Village, South London (Clapham) on Thursday, September 9th, with I believe 2, one-hour sessions kicking off at 6.30pm. Admission is free and there’s more than enough good reasons to attend. Focused at all skill level users, Thavius will concentrate on using Ableton software and Novation hardware to illustrate the real ‘hands-on’ music making potential of both these leading industry solutions. Other Novation hardware will be demonstrated and discussed and an overview of the company’s AutoMap will be included as Thavius shows how this can take Ableton Live production skills to the next level.

thavius_beckIf the above wasn’t incentive enough to attend the Live Beats session at DV Clapham, then the possibility to win a Novation Launchpad and a copy of Ableton Live 8 too, may just tip the balance. In addition (yes, it gets better), there’ll be some amazing Ableton and controller deals on the night too, so genuinely, it’s about as ‘not to be missed’ as, erm, ‘not to be missed’ can get! As always with training sessions like these, we hope to get some or all of the Thavius sessions down on video or, at the very least, report back here at the DV247 Blog for those who can’t unfortunately attend, with what went down.

Showing that the guys behind the Live Beats tour are fully supporting their customer base, Novation and Ableton product experts will also be on hand joining Flavius to answer any questions that attendee’s may have, offering tips and tricks to get the best out of both the companies most popular products.
