4MidiLoop Traktor Controller and Mixer

I’ve just had a heads up on this mysterious controller/mixer combi called the 4MidiLoop. The YouTube teaser video (below) has already had a healthy amount of hits in just five days since upload, confirming the level of buzz on this seemingly prototype-only hardware. Focused directly on usage with Native Instruments Traktor, this new unit appears to fulfill the need of a fully functional club mixer combined with a comprehensive control surface for the ubiquitous DJ software.
It plainly has four faders, which according to the video, seem to multi-task between the standardised function of bringing in a new track, then flipping to a control assignment for effects or other control functionality. One envisaged set-up scenario then would be two decks and two effects banks controlled over four faders, and combinations thereof..? Unfortunately, as the video doesn’t show an embedded Traktor screen responding to the hand movements, only educated guess work can be in play here.
That speculation continues however with a presumption that the 4MidiLoop is both a powerful (Traktor dedicated) four channel MIDI controller and (hopefully) a fully functional DJ mixer – perhaps capable of accommodating CD and analogue deck inputs as well? The video info states that it is housed in an aluminium casing and utilises Penny and Giles faders too – so no compromise on quality then!
If you take time to view the full, almost 10 minute, video, it occasionally highlights various control focuses which do actually give a better understanding of what the varied faders, buttons and knobs do. Again, best guess added to the visual info applies, but they appear as:
- Loop engage button
- Two rows of dedicated FX controls with level and select options
- Load Decks A,B, C and D option
- A & B Headphone levels
- Lo, Hi and Mid EQ controls
- Deck Sync button(s)
- Flashing green active track indicators (?)
- Dual Play/Pause button near each of the 4 faders
- Plus/minus loop size selector
- Individual track/fader gain controls
- Pitch/BPM control knob
- Next/Previous track select
- Seek/Scratch knob
- Lo, Mid and Hi kill buttons
So we wait with eager anticipation and bated breath. Some of the limited info currently floating around the net suggests it has German origin, so will this new DJ delight perhaps appear at the forthcoming MusikMesse in Germany? We shall see. Either way, I’m looking forward to eventually adding the 4MidiLoop to my ever growing pile of digi-DJ controllers to check out and review for you DV247 blog readers and DJ friends alike.

Please please PLEASE let it be A)a mixer-controller and B) Released!
i’ve been looking everywhere for a mixer-controller like the Rane 68 but with 4 dedicated controller surfaces and not just 2 “layered” ones as seems to be the standard. i’d be set with a mixer-controller setup like this. And with P/G faders you know it’s quality kit.
