Dr Epiphone is coming to the DV superstore in Romford on Friday January 22nd at 7pm, opening a very special clinic to examine all of your Epiphone questions! Even better, unlike a visit to any other Dr, you may walk away from this specialist visit with a brand new Epiphone AJ-15 Red Burst acoustic guitar! It certainly beats antibiotics…
In fact, the Dr in question is actually Will Jones, Epiphone player extraordinaire and a man in possession of an impressive music career in his own right (not to mention a rather striking bleach job, as evidenced in the picture opposite). Alongside playing with his alternative country and rock band, Will Jones and the Western Fringe, and appearing on Television in the States in his own Nashville-based show, Jones is the Brand Ambassador for Epiphone, travelling the world to spread word of the guitars he loves. As for his Dr title, the nickname was originally given to him during a tour of Japan, when his deep knowledge of Epi guitars impressed the locals to the point that they decided he was a rock star. We suspect that you should prepare to be impressed yourself…
“But what about that free guitar?”, I hear you cry. All attendees to Dr Epiphone’s clinic on January 22nd will be entered into a free draw with the AJ-15 as the top prize. Boasting a set neck, a scale length of 25.5″, USA grover tuners, a select laminate spruce top, Mahogany back, sides and neck and a Rosewood fingerboard, it’s a serious instrument. But there’s more! Visitors will also walk away with a bunch of prizes including Epi caps and t-shirts. All you have you have to do is turn up – not bad!
