I just bought one of the pod studio devices like a week ago… why do I have to pay for an upgrade to 2.0? everything in the box was outdated to start with. I had to download all new drivers and applications.
Needless to say I will not buy anything Line 6 again. Just bring on the updated drivers from now on….. IMO Amplitube 3 is much better anyway.

My mistake, if you have recently registered a product you can still get a free upgrade to v2. though I had to dig around the Line6 website to find information on how to obtain the free update to v2.0. On their main page regarding this upgrade promotion it dose not explain what to do, it links you to the store to purchase. The info was buried in an FAQ section on one of the other pages… basically run Monkey to get a license and then go login your account and download and install the 2.0 software.
After trying out v2.0 for a few hours or so, I have to say that I still find Amplitube v3 to be a much more robust software.
