vestax v7 digital dj deckNumark have today announced 3 exciting new digital DJ products at NAMM, 2010. Part of the ’7′ family, first up is the single platter DJ controller, the Numark V7. Very much based on the concept of one unit handling both software decks, pioneered by the sleek and aesthetic EKS Otus , the V7 lifts its main design with inspiration from the previous, dual-decked Numark NS7.

Inherited from that particular model no doubt will be the 10X faster than MIDI response within the platter torque specifications of the platter. In simpler terms, that’s ruddy fast when at the hands of an experienced turntablist. Serato Itch software is also included, with the hardware reaching 24-bit audiophile-grade audio and working with all DJ mixers. On-board effects complete this new unit and a dual deck USB functiuon enables seamless hand-off between two DJ’s.

This is a rugged, heavy steel constructed unit with premium knobs and faders and a CP Pro crossfader to boot. Following Numark’s current trend of unifying two DJ’s performances, the X7 has dual USB interfaces to accommodate such scenarios.

Seamless digital connection to the above V7 deck is provided, as is an advanced filter and effects bank for further creative expression. A handy on-screen parameter adjustment, function assign and visual effect control further adds to the usefulness of this new digital DJ delight and it appears from the press release we’ve seen that it is user configurable too.

The final sibling in this new extended digital family is the NS7′s bigger brother, the Numark NS7 FX. and looks like a super-charged version of the already excellent original. Features of this dual-deck, FX unit, mixer and Serato combi are listed as:
