Stomping on the Boss

bosspedalsIs this the biggest effects pedal board in the world? Probably not, but it’s got the most Boss pedals I’ve seen all in one place and stomp ready.

With a few handy patch cables you can mix and match pedals until you come up with your dream pedalboard. Transfer them to a Boss BCB-60 and you’re away, not forgetting to part with your hard-earned first of course.

The order of the pedals in your board is quite important, you generally want anything with any gain characteristics first and then your delay and chorus type effects second. This is a simplistic view though and you lose nothing by experimenting.

This would be my order: Boss TU-2 Tuner, Boss CS-3 Compressor, Boss SD-1 Super Overdrive, Boss CH-1 Super Chorus and Boss DD-7 Digital Delay all housed in the aforementioned BCB-60, which by the way, includes a power supply which powers everything.

For live, that just about covers all the bases but you could interchange the overdrive, chorus and delay for distortion, phaser or rotary effect as you please. The world (or pedal) is at your feet, so to speak.

Where is this Boss heaven? It’s in our shop in Romford of course. Now, book an afternoon off, pack a sandwich and noodle down. You’ll get free use of a plectrum and a cup or two of an unidentified liquid they seem to think is called ‘coffee’.

There’s a reason Roland have sold more than 10 million Boss pedals; check out this pedal board and hear for yourself.
