Komplete 6 landing soon

komplete 6After much speculation and online forum discussion, the beast that is Komplete 6 is now imminent in the arrival lounge. And what’s new and updated from Native Instrument’s sonic megabox? Well, not as radical as some may have anticipated, but nowhere near disappointing either.

Three of the version 5 key applications get a significant upgrade and surprisingly, four ( Pro 53, B4II, Acoustic Piano & Elektrik Piano) are lost from the previous incarnation.. The ‘give some, take some’ theme here though is counter balanced by the new and quite attractive (outright and upgrade) price point for what NI obviously believe is their ultimate collection. So.. new in Komplete 6 is:

Kontakt 4: The mega-sampler now includes an additional 10 gig of sample library content, new sound design tools and enhanced instrument performance views

Absynth 5: The weapon of choice for many sound sculptors gets an easier to use editing interface and the ability to spontaneously generate ‘out of the ordinary’ new patches from existing presets

Guitar Rig 4: The daddy of all guitar fx apps gets a brush and polish with updated dynamic tube response technology (erm, it ‘sounds’ better..), a sharper looking user interface, stereo signal processing plus even more choice of amp, mic & cab effects presets and combination possibilities.

Add the above to the well loved drum/percussion genius of Battery 3, the dynamic modular architecture of Reaktor 5, the retro-tastic FM8 and of course the appropriately named synth monster, Massive and you’ve got enough big audio dynamite to last for the next decade and onwards! [K]ool
