American Rock trio Green Day are back with their new album ‘21st Century Breakdown’, following 2004’s ‘American Idiot’ album that sold over 14 million copies worldwide. (Pictured) is Guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong and Bassist Mike Dirnt in a recent studio session using a Gibson Les Paul and Fender Jazz Bass.
Green Day’s new album was released on 15th May and went straight to number 1 on Radio 1’s Official chart show, along with the announcement of the band’s tour featuring two dates at London’s O2 Arena, 23rd and 24th October.
Nows your chance to check out the Green Day signature gear…
I’m impressed with the Fender Mike Dirnt Precision Bass; Modelled after the ‘51 Precision and features Custom Vintage ‘59 Split Single-Coil Pickup Precision pickups and Leo Quan Badass II Bridge, a must have on any Fender bass! In a nut shell the bass plays very well, but if it’s the look you’re going for, take the Squier Mike Dirnt Precision Bass.
Also check out the Gibson Billie Joe Armstrong Les Paul Junior, modelled closely after “Floyd,” Billie Joe’s original 1956 Les Paul Junior. The guitar has the same features as the original Les Paul Junior, with a new special design stacked double-coil H-90 and a vintage style non-compensated wraparound tailpiece.
