EKS move Otus into Pro-DJ World

otus2Finnish manufacturer, EKS, really seem to be getting their aesthetically pleasing, efficiently functional, and uber-cool DJ software controller, the ‘Otus’  into  the hands of some ‘name’ artists. Darude, responsible for the massive world-wide dance hit ‘Sandstorm’ in 2000, has recently given his praise..

“Otus & Traktor Pro combination is like the best cd-player on steroids! The familiar physical interface with numerous assignable knobs and buttons and the great audio interface combined with the visual feedback of the software with its multiple hot cue and loop points and playlist function take you dj heaven!”

I’ve had the pleasure of using one myself for the past few weeks, and after a bench test period, am ready to take it out to do it’s job at my weekly DJ  residency. I’ll be posting a full review, alongside its use of Traktor Pro, soon :-)

Paul Dakeyne is a DJ/Producer who has dedicated the past two decades of his life to dance music production and DJ'ing.
