Allen & Heath Xone:DX scratches the itch

ah_xonedxShipping in November ’09, Allen and Heath have teamed up with Serato to introduce the new Xone:DX DJ controller. This latest offering into what is already a crowded gear pool sees the convergence of two market leaders in DJ hardware and software.

The Xone:DX is very much designed for use with Serato‘s four deck version of the acclaimed (and supplied) Itch DJ program. This includes a comprehensive set of digital DJ FX, as well as looping, time stretching and a massive number of DJ tools.

It also features a built-in, plug ‘n play 24bit/96Khz USB soundcard, offering a central hub with a four channel mixer to handle direct DSP mixing within the DJ’s laptop. Further, and full compatibility with other leading DJ software packages is ensured with up to 168 individual MIDI control messages which can be sent from the Xone:DX’s multitude of knobs, buttons and jog wheels.

Paul Dakeyne is a DJ/Producer who has dedicated the past two decades of his life to dance music production and DJ'ing.
