The Gibson Strat!

Some ideas are so surprising and unexpected, you have to check you’re not dreaming. Imagine if Aston Martin announced they were going to manufacture a vacuum cleaner or Dyson were designing a sportscar. You just tell yourself, that’ll never happen in a month of Tuesdays.
Well, guess what folks, here it is - the Gibson Stratocaster! It certainly resembles a Strat and probably sounds pretty close. It’s got three pickups, although the angle of the bridge one is turned round to simulate the sound Hendrix would have achieved playing left handed. Whatever you think of it, it will appeal to (probably young) Hendrix fans and other aspiring players who want something a little out of the ordinary.
Gibson have been commissioned to make this by the Hendrix estate, and it’s an entry level affair, including a ‘pack’ of Hendrix related items.
Just as there’s now a massive convergence of musical styles across the whole music spectrum, who knows what the labels hip hop, rock or country mean any more, and so it may be with guitars, albeit within the margins of the established patents on accepted designs.
As with everything new, it takes a while to be accepted but eventually it merges into the mainstream. Then something even stranger comes along.
